I am so bummed out. I loved this place.I patron this business at least 2-3 times a week. Today I ordered the hot and sour soup and got dirt (mud) clump in my mouth. I am so grossed out I can't eat anything. I have tried to look past this. But is not excusable. I really don't understand how! What the heck. Really! I forever won't want hot and sour dirt soup again. They took the soup off the bill. I can't believe that they charged me for my meal that I didn't eat. I won't be eating there again. Sorry ! I just don't get it.

Worst...sushi...ever... Just call it Thai Green, and call it a day. We have gotten delivery from them in the past, and is was fine - nothing stellar, nothing terrible. But, tonight, I tried the sushi in the restaurant. I want to rewind time, and chose to go some place else. After waiting an ungodly long time for a very small sushi order, cucumber salad, and edamame (they fry their edamame, FYI). Ikura was spoiled; I called them on it. Don't come back and tell me it's because you put sake on your ikura - you aren't doing a sakezuke ikura - this is what you do to ikura to keep it from spoiling further (I.e., it's 7 in the morning, and you want to have it for lunch before it turns completely. You put shoyu and sake on it). Also, the saba's fat had separated from the meat of the fish. And, their "tobiko" is actually masago, capelin roe, not flying fish roe - which is about a third of the price of real tobiko. The icing was my water glass. It was dirty; not just a little dirty, unwashed dirty, with marks all up & down the glass (wish-I-had-taken-a-picture-of-it kind of gross). I felt so bad for our waitress. It was a perfect storm for Never Eating Their Food Again! The 1 star is for the waitress (she kept it together, all while she knew that I was seething), and the fact that I cannot give 0 stars. Horrible dinner.
(1)Eryn N.
So far the pad thai is amazing, and the steamed veggies are tasty ( garlic sauce? Please and thank you! )
(5)Nicole P.
No thanks. I ordered 2 rolls and a lunch meal. My favorite type of roll is the sweet potato rollidn't like it here - it was super dry and stuck to my gums. The California roll was pretty good - no complaints there. But then they brought my Seasame chicken. The sauce didn't taste like seasame chicken sauce, but it was pleasant anyways. The breading was a nice hard thickness. The chicken on the inside was grey and globs and slimey. Couldn't bring myself to continue eating after breaking them all open to see if they were all as gross. I won't be back.
(2)Emily H.
My husband and I LOVE this place. We have only ever ordered their delivery so can't say much about the restaurant itself. However, every time we order they are SUPER friendly on the phone, arrive faster than expected, and the food is great!! There is not much to choose from as far as sushi goes in the arvada area, but this is our go to place when we want thai and sushi delivery.
(5)Diane O.
I ordered the vegetable sushi roll (well 2 orders actually) and only got 10 pieces for 8. That seems a bit ridiculous to me. I can get 10 pieces with avocado on top from Whole Foods and it's a heck of a lot better than these. I also enjoy colder sushi but this was pretty warm. The meal did come with a soda and little calendar so that was nice and the staff were very friendly.
(3)Jennifer D.
This is our go to place when we order sushi and other dishes. We have never had bad sushi here, our other favorite dishes are Singapore noodles and Sesame chicken. When they deliver we usually order enough to get free egg rolls or free cream cheese wontons and it really hits the spot. Their seaweed salad can be fishy tasting at times. Whenever they deliver to us the driver is ALWAYS very nice. The service is great as well. Our waitress was Katie several different times and she was always so friendly. Oh I also love their Viatnamese egg rolls. Stop in and give them a try.
(4)John L.
Sushi left something to be desired. Small rolls with basically no avocado. I'm not sure if it was for budget reasons or what... otherwise the food was decent.
(3)April C.
Waste of time & your money. The food wasn't so bad that we worried about food poisoning. But it is NOT even fair as far as rating of quality of sushi. The staff & management brought us the wrong food. When we told them - we got sorry but you still have to pay for it EVEN though we didn't touch it let alone eat it. When we finally got the correct order it was almost a hour later. WE ! I am all for waiting for quality food - but this was not the case. It was the staff & management being jerk to us for complaining. BEWARE !
(1)Pasti M.
Best Panang Curry I have ever had! The sushi was great too! I ordered a yellow tail hand roll. Amazing! They give you a ton of fish and it is high quality! Service was quick and friendly. They are Jony on the spot with the water as well. Good thing because I got my Curry HOT. They weren't very busy when I visited but they weren't completely dead either.
(5)Christina D.
Excellent food! Coconut Soup hit the spot. Calamari had so much flavor and the sauce is delicious. All four of us picked winners for our meals. Pad Thai always good, peanut butter curry was great, two of us had the drunken noodles which was outstanding. If I lived around here I would eat here twice a week. A must try, you won't be disappointed.
(5)Sara V.
This place saved our field office's life many a times during last year's senate race- at gatherings, we still lament over their wildly bountiful and affordable lunch specials. My boyfriend made it a habit to surprise me during long nights at the office with spicy pad thai and amazing curry. We live over by Sloan's but we'll be back to bask in Thai Green & Sushi glory soon.
(5)Rebecca D.
Stopped in here after working up an appetite at the new King Soopers located next store. The place seemed to be busy which tends to be a good sign, so we figured to give it a try! Overall, the service was fast and attentive and the food was above average. I ordered the drunken noodle with tofu and my bf ordered the chicken and broccoli with rice dish. Both dishes were around the $10 mark - their menu was reasonably priced and had both thai and sushi options (in case you didnt gather that from the name of the restaurant). Both plates arrived in under 15 minutes, and were huge huge huge! We definitely could have split one plate - however both plates were delicious and the left overs that came home made for a yummy lunch the next day. Definitely glad we decided to give this place a try!

I flew in to Colorado from Chicago for a friend's wedding, and needed a quick bite to eat. I have to say that the sushi was excellent. There were no thin little stripes of fishes, these meaty pieces. The flavor of the fish was very good, and the texture was superb. I highly recommend this place. I have even considered sneaking away from the wedding to come back for a bite to eat.
(5)Broarquello A.
So I've read other reviews and I'll just add my 2cent in now: I would not ever even think of testing out sushi ANYWHERE in a land locked state (insert CO here) unless I knew the restaurant has a contract with a company that flies in fresh fish daily. I mean, come on, do a little research otherwise do you really want to risk it? Oh nay nay, not me....With that being said- I don't go here for sushi, but I absolutely will travel across town to get their delicious spicy edamame. No joke~ I cannot find another place in Denver that does spicy edamame like this place does. Call me crazy, however, for this alone I'm giving it 4 stars. Side note: I do order their spicy peanut sauce vegetable curry to go with the edamame, which is good in it's own right~
(4)Ty M.
Food was a lot better and staff was nicer. Had delivery and sat there a couple more times. Worked out some kinks!
(4)Fah Z.
Terrible food. Greasy Thai dishes like chicken basil is so gross I'm Thai and this place is terrible.
(1)Hunter M.
For fast Asian food this place is just fine. I would come back. I had the pad Thai. It was good enough.
(4)Lisa B.
Very little actual Thai food, no condiments, week tea. My food came cold. Seemd like the restaurant is dumbed down for suburban patrons. But some of us really do get out in the world.
(1)Belinda F.
We come here for the soup. It's very good and the service was good from the lady waitress. The second time we came, the guy server was not friendly at all. We tried the sushi, probably not again. Then two dishes, very greasy. We will keep coming when we have a soup craving but not anything else.
(3)Kim N.
The best of both worlds! Thai Green has an extensive Chinese menu with all your standard favorites. Plus they have a full sushi bar. Perfect for everyone. First the chinese food. The crab rangoons are delicious! I highly suggest starting your meal with an order. We normally order chicken lo mein for our daughter, it's very flavorful and full of chicken. We've also tried the sesame chicken, moo goo gai pan, and sizzling beef. All were excellent and the portions are generous. On to the sushi. Again, they have everything you would expect from any other sushi restaurant. The product is fresh and the prices are reasonable. They usually have a few special rolls, so make sure to ask. When it comes down to it you can't go wrong. There is something for everyone in your crew.
(5)Ana D.
AMAZING! The curry is delicious, the basil shrimp is stellar, the sushi is wonderful and the service is great. The first time we went the server suggested the Orange Bomb roll which isn't on the menu. We've ordered it ever since. They deliver and it's always very fast. Enjoy!
(5)Cielo G.
Service without a smile, but excellent Thai curry. The dinner portion is the largest I've ever seen; it was a huge bowl (at least 10" diameter) teeming with goodies! Although I did order extra veggies. Note: Panang curry came with potatoes, which I'll tell them to hold next time. The brown rice was quality. Atmosphere is pleasant and a cut above most Thai restaurants. Didn't try sushi; no advice available. If you can overlook the pitiful service (no water offered when seated and then had to beckon for a leftover box because my waiter was engrossed in the TV and his own meal), give it a try.
(4)Ezzie S.
Horribly rude! I always order pad Thai from Asian restaurants if it is available because you can never go wrong, except here. The dish tasted like a bowl full of peanuts and nothing else. I asked the waitress about the flavor since even the chicken tasted like peanuts and was told that's how they make it there and she walked off. I was not going to eat or pay for this meal. When she returned to check on us and saw I didn't eat it she asked if I wanted it to go and I said no I wanted to send it back and talk to a manager. The manager did take it off the bill but an alternative dish wasn't even offered and by that point we were ready to leave. I have not and will not be going back.
(1)Kristine S.
I have been here three times and have been disappointed each time. Most recently, I ordered a seaweed salad and when I received it, it was served on a bed of green lettuce. I was not looking for a lettuce salad, but a seaweed salad. Also, it tasted fishy, which is gross. Seaweed salad is one of my favorite dishes, but this didn't measure up. The service is generally ok, though i have had a really long wait at lunch in the past.
(2)Colleen A.
Moo Goo Gai Pan is soooo good. Thai hot and sour soup very good too. I like the atmosphere here. Bathrooms are always spotless. Hit or miss sometimes with the wait staff. Usually got get someone awful or someone terrific. Crispy duck is very good too!
(4)Sara R.
Delivery is a joke, if your going to order give them an extra half hour.
(1)Charles F.
I love Thai.... This isnt it. My Panang curry wasnt recognizable as a Thai dish just some wierd interpretation. Vietnamese egg rolll... over done and too salty. Unagi hand roll was passable but not the best I have had. Service was good but perhaps thats because my server knew me from a resturant he formally worked at. Sadly, skip it and try Smashburger across the lot
(2)Laurie W.
I went to Thai Green with a friend. She had the sushi, which she really liked. I had the Basil Chicken, which I really enjoyed. It was a little bit spicy, savoy and delicious. So good! The server was nice and helpful. The decor is very cute inside. A family next to us ordered a lot of sushi and it was served on an enormous platter shaped like a sailing vessel. The one thing that really made me happy was that they were able to get my order and the sushi order out at the same time. Sometimes restaurants have a hard time with that, even when you request it,
(4)Roberta L.
Ok.....sushi is good, Tom Ga Hai (Coconut Chicken Soup) is reallllly good. They are usually pretty quick, so no wait, and pretty usual Asian restaurant service...however, I tried to get delivery one evening, and after waiting an hour, I called in to get an update and was told "sorry, we've been busy, can you come pick it up" No call, no check in.....would still be waiting in my living room if I hadn't called. NO.....THAT'S why I ordered delivery....anyway I was pissed....told them to cancel, and searched my house for something to eat. Would I go back, yeah.....delivery, probably not - hate to have my taste buds set on something and be disappointed. Youngfield Roll is great....my recomendation (and the soup!)
(4)Christina M.
Was not impressed. Thai food definitely Americanized and not authentic. Way too rich. The restaurant did have a nice atmosphere and the waitress was nice. I haven't tried there sushi so I can't comment on that.
(2)Rob K.
If you're looking for an American version of Thai food, this is the place. If you're looking for more authentic Thai, this isn't the place.
(2)Shannon S.
For Lakewood this is a great little neighborhood sushi joint. We visit it about once a week. The Summer roll or the black pearl roll! Yumm.
(4)Nick B.
I used to really like this place and would order a lot (once or twice a week) on my way home from work. The past few visits the staff has been anywhere from apathetic and rude to outright hostile when I would come in to pick up my to-go order. "Did you already place your order?? OH THANK GOD!" I'm sorry you close in a half an hour, didn't mean to actually make you work at your job. Maybe if they want to stop working at 9PM they shouldn't be open until 9:30? Probably won't be coming back. I thought food service was part of the "hospitality" industry.
(2)Krista F.
So fresh. So delicious. Great mix of casual, family friendly feel and upscale ambiance. PLUS really fresh sushi and friendly service. Great for the whole family or date night.
(5)Christine T.
Two thumbs up for the Peanut Curry! The beef was so tender that you could cut it with a fork. The sauce was plentiful and the veggies fresh & tasty. This is great Thai for the Applewood/Golden area of Denver. Next time, I'll try the sushi. The decor is pleasant & elegant but the prices are reasonable. Very reasonable and the portions large.
(4)Mike H.
Ive eaten here for lunch with workmates... The thing ive learned is to not be in to much of a hurry... The food is good and average for a try to be every Asian restaurant. Chinese, Thai, Sushi.. Jack of all and master of none... but still, food does not suck... So took my 10 y/o daughter there last night, and i was extremely surprised the there was no kids menu... I asked if she could have the Lunch menu portion of the Chicken Teryaki and was told no. again and again.. That the chef would yell at the waiter and manager and that it was to much... So as I was going to leave, they finally accomodated me.. There was no yelling by any party, justs facts on both side.. I was told by manager that this was a super favor and would never happen again, and then told by the waiter that if the gal manager wasnt there that he would have been manager and he would not have accomodated me... I dont understand why its was so hard and why people work at a place that they get yelled at by other employees and why I got so bullied... We shared an edimame, yellowtail sushi, I had a pad thai, she had lunch size teriyaki chicken, bill came out to over 30 bucks, tipped 20%. Sad thing is, ifs the following morning an I am SICK, stomach issues abound.. Not sure it was this place but do you believe in coincidence??? No more dinners there, maybe some work lunches

I went here to get some takeout for my grandmother and myself and ran into the ultimate consumer's dilemma: this place has great food but absolutely terrible service. As I ordered the staff just stared at me like I was wasting their time. The takeout had plenty of food- definitely enough for a couple of meals for a reasonable price. The atmosphere was all over the place- it's almost as if they tried to make it a classy place but there's tacky things on the wall and televisions everywhere. If you know me, I value service quite a bit- most places have food you can get anywhere, what sets them apart is the people and atmosphere. If you want thai/sushi to go, this place is definitely an option. I would not suggest going here for a sit down meal, however.
(2)Caroline F.
I've eaten here several times, usually when I have a sushi craving and don't feel like driving 20 minutes to eat at my beloved Kassai. The sushi is right around average. The prices are a little high for the quality of the fish, but nothing too outrageous. If you stick to the non-specialty rolls and shy away from the specialty rolls and sushi/sashimi (which is all pretty meh), you can leave with a relatively cheap bill. The non-sushi menu is all over the place, with lots of Chinese and Japanese food on the menu as well. Quasi Thai, if you will. There's no heat to anything, so you have to ask them to put chili oil if you like it spicy. In conclusion, don't come here to be wowed. It's just a little sushi spot in a Wheat Ridge strip mall, and the food reflects that. Free delivery!
(3)Stan D.
They're calling this address "Wheat Ridge," but is actually considered to be in "Golden," That's not the only surprise you'll find here. The new restaurant is located on the corner where the Hallmark Shop used to be, just south of King Soopers, and just east of Applejack Liquors. And, from the outside, you would never expect to find what you do inside. The inside is nicely decorated, pleasing to the eye, and comfortable. They have plenty of staff on duty to serve you quickly, and they serve up some very attractive plates at very good prices, and with very good flavor. Being vegetarian, I was pleased to find many vegetarian options on the menu, and a waitress which could quickly and easily identify each. I chose the Vegetable Lo Mein. I was pleased with the variety and freshness of the vegetables on my plate, and the noodles were both tasty, and not too greasy. Very nice! I still like Szechuan Chinese at 6th and Garrison, and Namikos at 52nd and Wadsworth better, but this one is definitely the most stylish of them all, and could prove to be a worthy contender. Of course, I've only been once, but, after one visit, I feel it is a save bet to recommend to anyone.
(4)Betsy H.
My daughter lived in Thailand and wanted to go for something authentic. She was more than thrilled to have the taste green curry. I was very impressed with the chicken as both the soups and entrees had chicken that was very high quality. Large Thai spring rolls that were a meal in itself. Very great place.
(4)Emily L.
I have only been here once so far, but this place is definitely promising, I'm sure I'll be back when I'm going to that King Soopers. We only sampled the Thai food, so I can't comment on the sushi (yet). The food was really good, I had the green curry w/tofu - very fresh veggies and perfectly cooked brown rice. I would say the curry sauce isn't quite as amazing as US Thai, but I love US Thai, and really it's quite good. My only complaint is that it really wasn't very spicy. I think I ordered hot and it tasted more like in between mild and medium. We were there for lunch and the lunch deal is pretty good, the curry came with an appetizer. The service was EXCELLENT. Super friendly servers, bussers, and the manager chatted with us. Don't let the mega-strip mall setting scare you away, it's definitely worth stopping at. I look forward to trying the sushi after looking at the other reviews.
(4)S S.
Over this place. Had a bad piece of sushi - I have never had to send sushi back. Also had two different seafood dishes - One the sauce was good. The other dish the sauce was just gross and could not be eaten. We took home the shrimp and bbq'd it to give it a better flavor.
(2)Mark S.
Had a great meal here, made even better by the service that got me in and out of there very quickly. I sat at the bar and watched the chefs making sushi, got a couple of rolls, which were better than average. Not the best sushi I've had, but you are in Colorado, so you take small sushi victories when you can. And this is one of them.
(4)Andrea T.
This is our favorite asian dine-in place. They have great curries and Sushi. They also have a good selection of drinks from wine to Japanese soda. The one thing I do have to say about Thai Green is their lunch service and dinner service are at very different levels. Their lunch service is long and drawn out, often leaving you feeling forgotten by your waiter, but the dinner service is top notch and great. None of the wait staff is ever rude, but there is a literal night and day difference. As for my reccomendations for food, the volcano roll from the sushi bar is beyond amazing. The moment you take a bite it's a food nirvana for sure. My boyfrined prefers the green curry and as far as curries go I like it as well. I usually get a chinese style dish and I'm never dissappointed. The food presentaion is great, and so is the food. So, as far as dinner goes, Thai Green is awesome.
(4)Pamela M.
Love this place. Quick service, great food. This is a perfect neighborhood restaurant for during the week, when you are just to tired to cook.
(5)Ellen w.
I wrote a bad review about Thai Green and Sushi and it was somehow removed. Way to go, Yelp. It said: "Watch your credit card. I got my card skimmed. Food wasn't worth the hassle. Never ever again. Hope they get caught." I got a nifty reply. Vincent H. sent a message back through Yelp. It said: "go F u self Did this restaurant took your business?? remove your crap this site is for real people with TASTE!!" Nice.
(1)Eileen G.
I'm usually wary of restaurants in strip malls, but the decor is unexpectedly classy and the staff is very friendly. Great sushi for the price. Haven't had a bad piece of sushi here yet. The Thai food is also very good. I recommend the Vietnamese egg rolls and the appetizer platter. Definitely worth a visit.
(4)MathPrincess L.
I really do love the sushi here. I've been here several times and never had an even remotely negative experience with the service. I'm really surprised at some of the reviews about the service. The atmosphere is great, they have a sushi bar so there's a place to sit if you're eating alone.
(5)Sean O.
I didn't eat any of the Thai food here, only the sushi, so I can't comment on the other dishes. My wife and I came here for the first time last week. We ordered some tea, a California roll, and a spider roll. The CA roll had six small-medium pieces for about $4 and the spider roll had 8 large pieces for about $9. I comment on the sushi prices because I couldn't find it anywhere on their website, so I thought other's would like to know a ball-park. I do plan on going back here to try their main dishes, but we did very much enjoy their sushi. the atmosphere was up-scale (don't let the restaurant's name deceive you) but not fancy. The service was excellent, even though it was a full house when we went (there were people waiting for our seats, in a decent sized restaurant). I'd probably rate it 3.5 stars, but it's closer to four stars than three.
(4)Tessa M.
They had good sushi but it was a little hard to communicate with the waitress. I didn't care for the golden mussels but my husband liked them. The panang curry was also great.
(4)Betty B.
Very pricey, especially for what you get. The sushi isn't put together/wrapped well and the presentation isn't well done either. The service is painfully slow and not very friendly. I will never be back. What a waste of money.
(1)Andrew W.
Thai Green & Sushi is a great addition to the Wheat Ridge/Golden area. There service is wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. Being sushi eaters, we thought their sushi was some of the best in the Denver area. Their Thai food is also excellent! We are happy to have them in our neighborhood and would recommend them.
(5)koren n.
the green curry is not good. don't waste your time
